“We Can’t All Be a Pretty Face!”


Well.. their faces aren’t that pretty… but at least the one has some nicely colored feathers.  Not much hope for the hornbill in a “pretty bird” contest!

    Hi Shutterdo, fine pictures … but the first two are of a toucan, only the last one is a hornbill. American toucans may look like African-Asian hornbills, but are not closely related.

      Wonderful! Thanks for the info.. I missed the sign on the cage so wasn’t sure what type of bird it was. The Toucans are prettier! And much easier to get a picture of… those darn hornbills jumped all over the place. I took a dozen shoots and only this one was clear enough to keep!
